What We Do

 Advocacy

ProLiteracy speaks in the national and international arenas on behalf of adults who struggle with reading, writing, and math, and the people and programs that work with them. Through our office in Washington, DC, we monitor legislation, programs, regulations, and public policies that affect adult learners and literacy providers.

ProLiteracy stays up-to-date on adult literacy-related issues and drafts policy position papers to inform member programs and individuals who support adult literacy. ProLiteracy’s Public Policy Alerts call supporters to take action, when needed.
