Bestselling Writer and Literacy Advocate Visits ProLiteracy
David Baldacci, bestselling author of more than 20 books of fiction, paid a visit to ProLiteracy’s headquarters in Syracuse, N.Y., on May 10. As a leader in the fight for national literacy through his foundation Wish You Well, Baldacci shares a passion for adult literacy and basic education with ProLiteracy, the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the cause of adult literacy around the nation and throughout the world.
Baldacci and Natasha Collin, executive director of Wish You Well, met with ProLiteracy President and CEO David C. Harvey and ProLiteracy Co-Founder Ruth J. Colvin, as well as many ProLiteracy staff. The discussion included the vital importance of adult literacy to democratic societies.
“We were honored to host Mr. Baldacci and Ms. Collin,” says Harvey. “In addition to being a prolific and captivating writer, Mr. Baldacci has dedicated a great deal of his time and resources to adult and family literacy. We at ProLiteracy were so pleased to be able to share our common vision with Wish You Well and Mr. Baldacci.”
