Applications are now being accepted for grants from ProLiteracy’s National Book Fund (NBF), which supplies books and materials to adult literacy and basic education programs. The resources available through the NBF are from ProLiteracy’s publishing division, New Readers Press.
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2014, to be considered. Announcements to grant applicants will be made by May 30, 2014.
Programs providing direct service in the areas of basic literacy, adult education, English language learning (ELL), GED/HSE preparation, and family literacy will be considered for support.
In addition to New Readers Press materials, National Book Fund grants may also be in the form of ProLiteracy’s online self-paced professional development courses.
National Book Fund guidelines, application, and order forms can be found on the ProLiteracy website.
