The Colvin Center is located on the first floor of ProLiteracy’s headquarters in Syracuse’s Near West Side neighborhood.

The Center was designed to provide a space for local organizations and the public take action around literacy. ProLiteracy offers regular programming in the Center, but schedule-permitting, the space is also available for use by other community organizations. Guests are also welcome to use free public wi-fi throughout the Center.
Available space includes:

Reading/Resource Area:
A public workspace and reading area that features multipurpose seating and task tables and a library of materials for a wide variety of patrons.

Training Rooms:
Large multipurpose training rooms equipped with interactive projectors and teleconferencing technology. Laptops are also available for large-group computer-based training.

Common Areas for Special Events:
Lobby and café space, meeting rooms, and interior and exterior digital display opportunities for promotion of community information and activities.

Life Links Public Computing Center:
The Public Computing Center is available for use for workshops and ongoing classes. Capacity ranges from 10-18 workstations depending on the seating arrangement.
Recent events hosted in the Colvin Center include the NorthsideUP Green Train graduation ceremony and the Westside Residents Coalition monthly meeting.
