Trainer Recertification is a four-year national credential granted in recognition of a trainer's continued activity and professional development. Applicants are ProLiteracy America-certified trainers. Local and/or state organizations must endorse and support trainers as they proceed through recertification.

Preparing for Recertification
ProLiteracy provides diverse resources to help trainers meet recertification requirements. These include:

• A free on-line Trainer Tool Kit with materials on training, adult basic education and literacy, and ESL.
• Access to professional development opportunities at a discount.
• A listserv where trainers can ask questions, discuss ideas, and share resources.
• An online feature, "My Certification," that allows certified trainers to track their training and professional development activities.
