Our Annual Impact Report is an opportunity to spotlight our work and accomplishments and share how the support from our incredible donors and partners has helped us positively impact the adult literacy field.

Fiscal Year 2021–2022 was a year in which much of the uncertainty of the pandemic was waning, and we were able to seize the opportunity of a fresh start. We offered innovative professional development opportunities, new and relevant research, and more grant opportunities. We shared our perspective and joined national conversations to advocate for those we serve.

Our latest Annual Report, details these efforts and how they have impacted the field. Here are some of the highlights:

  • We awarded $830K in grants this year to programs in need through the three funds of ProLiteracy.
  • The success of the Write Her Future program in Mexico led Lancôme to renew for another year and expand to Panama.
  • New Readers Press was ready for the release of the new TABE Writing test with books to prepare students to successfully write effective essays.
  • Our research publications continued to guide the field through the changing landscape as a trusted resource for the latest information and best practices.
  • We contributed to the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy’s five-year National Action Plan for Adult Literacy as a leading voice for Equity and Access, Data Use and Decision Making, and Research and Evaluation.
