Last week, the House Labor-HHS-Education Subcommittee budget proposal, which includes adult education, was released. It calls for an $11.7 billion overall increase, including a 6 percent increase for the Department of Education. TODAY, the House Appropriations Committee will meet to consider FY2020 allocations for the 12 government funding bills, including a mark-up of the Labor-HHS-Education Subcommittee bill.
