Whether you are looking to volunteer or you need adult literacy services for yourself or a loved one, the National Literacy Directory can connect you to local adult basic education and literacy programs. The National Literacy Directory was launched in 2010 as a joint effort by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL), and ProLiteracy. The NCFL manages the web‐based directory, while ProLiteracy operates the directory’s toll‐free referral hotline 1‐877‐389‐6874.
