The workforce is such a vast grouping of diverse professions that it may be hard to discover the career path that perfectly fits your aspirations, education, and personality. For many, the most intimidating part of a job search is the first step: choosing a career path. Workforce Atlas is an online career pathways platform that opens the door to discovering jobs best suited to you based on your literacy proficiency, numeracy skills, workplace skills, and interests.

There are four different assessments:

  • Job Interests
  • Job Skills
  • Reading
  • Math

After completing these assessments you are directed to the occupation recommendation platform, offering information on jobs based on the results of your assessments.  From here you can explore other careers under the Jobs tab and save your favorites. By navigating to the Resources tab, you can explore different resources that will provide additional guidance with:

  • Resume building
  • Interview tips
  • Industry fact sheets
  • Workforce writing exercises
  • Videos about small business ownership, immigrant-owned businesses, and soft-skills
  • Guides about health care careers, job interviewing, job searching, and starting a new job

The Programs tab can connect you with literacy and learning organizations close to you to provide additional resources that can better assist you in achieving your learning, professional, or personal goals.

Workforce Atlas is a powerful tool to have when starting a career, making a career change, or looking for a new job. It personalizes your experience to provide jobs that will align with your career vision.
