Our partners play an invaluable role in the success of ProLiteracy—and, ultimately, the success of the educators, advocates and learners we serve. With their generous financial and organizational support, we’ve been able to launch new adult literacy solutions, sustain and grow our existing programs, and advocate for adult literacy initiatives on a local, national, and global level.

Partnerships

ProLiteracy advances adult literacy around the globe through a variety of partnerships.

  • Implementing NGO Partners: We work with in-country grassroots NGOs to provide direct-service literacy programs in communities of the greatest need. These organizations range in size between small, medium, and large. We vet these programs through regular staff site-visits and an intensive due-diligence process.

  • Individual, Corporate, and Private Foundations:
We partner with corporations and foundations to integrate literacy and education into various models for international development. We believe international development must contain a literacy component to truly be sustainable. Corporations and foundation partners we’ve worked with include: Pfizer, JPMorgan Chase, Citi Foundation, Coca-Cola Africa, TGR Foundation: A Tiger Woods Charity, Oprah’s Angel Network Foundation, National Endowment for Democracy, the West Foundation, United Methodist Women and many more.

  • Strategic Partners/Collaborations:
We are always interested in collaborating with non-literacy organizations who are wish to partner. Some current partners include Worldreader, the Citizen Foundation, and the U.S. State Department office of English Language Learning.
