We are excited to announce that through this year’s National Book Fund cycle, we have awarded more than $72,000 worth of instructional materials to 39 adult literacy organizations in the US and Canada.
Each of this year’s grantees were chosen based on their plans to use the award to build the capacity of their programing to serve more adults in need of literacy and language services. With the National Book Fund grants, this year’s recipients will help adults improve basic literacy and English language skills, build up high school equivalency programs, guide newcomers toward US citizenship, empower workers to upskill, provide instructors with resources to better understand and serve adult learners, and more.
The impact of the 2025 National Book Fund grants will touch hundreds of adult learners and set them on paths to meaningful employment, financial independence, improved self-confidence, and a new vision for the future.
