ProLiteracy 2021 Conference on Adult Education

ProLiteracy is forced to postpone its conference due to the current adverse conditions impacting San Antonio and Bexar County and the anticipated escalating conditions with respect to COVID-19, projected by the Centers for Disease Control and other governmental health authorities at the scheduled conference dates.

  • ProLiteracy will be issuing full refunds for your registration fees. We will send additional communications surrounding these refunds in the coming weeks.
  • Cancel your hotel room. If you booked with a hotel other than the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, reach out directly to the hotel to cancel your reservation.
    • If you booked a room at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, you can visit https://book.passkey.com/e/50143235 and select ‘Manage Existing Reservation’ or call: 877-622-3056
  • Cancel your flight. Flight cancellation options will depend on the arrangements you made with the airline when you booked your ticket.

Full Conference Registration FAQ
(Members, Non-Members, Students)

A: Please send an email to conference@proliteracy.org indicating your preference (refund or credit).

A: All refunds will be issued via check payable to the individual or issuing organization. Please allow 6 weeks for processing.

A: Yes, we will issue a full refund via check. We will not withhold the $50 administrative fee.

A: Yes, if you are not interested in obtaining a monetary refund, you can ask us to apply the fee to the next conference. We would be happy to do so.

Note: All communications regarding refunds or registration credit for the next conference MUST BE MADE IN WRITING to conference@proliteracy.org.

Presenter FAQ

A: Your workshop will be part of the rescheduled ProLiteracy Conference on Adult Education lineup.

A: Yes, we will reach out to all presenters to see if they would like to have their workshop added back into the lineup.

A: Yes, we may be able to help spread the word. Please reach out to conference@proliteracy.org.

Award Winners

A: The 2021 winners will be awarded free conference registrations for the next conference so they can receive their awards in person. Programs that nominated you have already received money to offset travel expenses. They will be notified that they are expected to retain this funding so it can be used for the next conference.

Scholarship Recipients

A: Yes, your scholarship will carry over to the rescheduled conference.

A: You will receive a communication from Sarah Howell with instructions for canceling your flight and receiving a new Southwest voucher or gift card.

Exhibitor FAQ

A: ProLiteracy will issue a full refund for your exhibit space via check.

A: A refund check will be mailed to your organization. Please allow 6 weeks for processing.

A: Yes, you may choose to have your exhibitor fee applied to the rescheduled ProLiteracy Conference.

Sponsor and Exhibitor Ads FAQ

A: Exhibitors: ProLiteracy will issue a full refund for your ad via check. Please allow 6 weeks for processing.

Sponsor and Exhibitor Ads FAQ

A: ProLiteracy staff will be in touch with your sponsorship contact to discuss all options and develop a plan that works for both parties. Options will include:

  • Transfer your sponsorship to the rescheduled ProLiteracy Conference on Adult Education. All sponsor benefits will remain in place for the rescheduled event.
  • A full refund for the total value of your sponsorship

A: If you request a refund, it will take up to 6 weeks to process.

A: ProLiteracy staff will reach out to devise a plan that works for both parties.

A: ProLiteracy staff will reach out to you via email no later than three months prior to the rescheduled conference date. At that time you may submit any revised content.

A: All scholarship funding will be held by ProLiteracy and deferred as scholarships for the rescheduled conference.
